Thirty weeks Therapeutic Horticulture and Social Skills training organised by the Organic Allotments project of the Norfolk African Community Association (NACA) will start in March 2025.
Location
Bluebell South Allotments site in Norwich, Earlham.
The reference plot is P211.
Meetings start after 11:00 and finish at 16:30 pm.
About the programme
The programme includes theory and practical field work experience in Horticultural Skills focusing on seasonal vegetables and herbs growing, integrated pest and disease management, Harvesting at the right time, and Proper Storage.
In addition Nutritional values of each variety of vegetable and herb will be described about their health benefits.
A 3 X 6 meters seed bed, all necessary tools, and Health and Safety guides in gardening will be available to each trainee.
Requirements
The trainee must be 18 years old and over, must commit 2 hours per week, and must participate and attend at least two social events during the duration of the training.
There are 10 places available and it will be first come first served.
All who have completed the application form and not taken in the first round will be considered for the next round in 2026.

After the induction date each trainee will attend the theory and field work experience session on their preferred and registered schedule. A resident Senior Agronomist will be on site to assist.
